Detailed Description of Workshop

 Yoga Basics  

This detailed yoga workshop is designed to educate you on the basic things you need to know to start your own yoga practice at home and allow you to feel comfortable going to a yoga class. If you're new to yoga, curious about yoga, or maybe you've been doing yoga for years but was never taught how to do the basics from placing your hand on the ground to breathing with the pose then this workshop is for you.  This class is designed to help you understand the why's and how's so you can safely practice yoga with the knowledge of why it is so powerful.  Join us in the yoga journey.

Pause Breathe Proceed 

The Pause, Breathe, Proceed workshop helps you understand how the mind works, why we react, how our reactions affect ourselves and others, the art of communicating, and how to become kind.  The power resides in the pause, a simple ancient concept that allows us to question our thoughts.  The breath follows and gives us time to contemplate, calm our central nervous system, and reply from a place of peace.  Join us as you learn three simple steps that will change your life.

Sinus Decongestion

Learn some basic ways to keep your sinuses clear this Winter.  We will discuss essential oils, neti pots, and learn a facial cupping routine to clear the nasal passages and make way for the vital lifeforce of breath.  

Tai Chi - $15.00/person

Steve Valley has been practicing Yang style Tai Chi Chuan for over 24 years.  He has studied the Yang Long Form, I-Chuan, Qi-Gong, and internal energy cultivation, with his teacher in California. You are invited to come have fun while improving your health.  Students taking Tai Chi will improve their health through gentle, relaxing, calming movement.  The benefits of regular Tai Chi Practice include, but are not limited to…, improved balance, improved lung and cardio vascular function, strengthens the body WITHOUT physical stress, strengthens the immune system, slows aging through rejuvenation(breath work), fights osteoarthritis, calms and sharpens the mind, improves posture, and clears negative emotions.
